On behalf of the City of Atoka, I would like to invite you to visit our outstanding community. Atoka is a growing, progressive city with a proud history and a great future. A new Hospital has been built; the Choctaw Nation built a new Medical Clinic; the Police Department and Emergency Management personnel are in new facilities; a new Raw Water Treatment Facility has been finished that doubles the City's water production; a new Wastewater Treatment Facility is under construction; the Airport has been modernized; our City Parks have been upgraded and expanded; a State- of- the- Art Sports Complex has been constructed; a new Grade School is under construction; the Kiamichi Technology campus is expanding; City Streets are constantly being upgraded; our Industrial Parks have been expanded; new industry is arriving and existing industry is expanding; new retail establishments are opening. And Atoka continues to grow! In the center of the Choctaw Nation, the area is home to the Wes Watkins Agricultural Research & Extension Center, the Confederate Memorial Museum & Cemetery, the state's first winery, excellent bass fishing and hunting, a nine hole golf course, State Parks, antique shops, gaming casinos and much more.
